“PAIN DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A PORTUGUESE FADO LAMENT”

“Pain does not have to be a Portuguese Fado Lament” is the message behind awareness raising campaign launched by Grünenthal, to alert the Portuguese to the importance of recognizing that chronic pain is a disease that needs to be appropriately evaluated and treated.

The countrywide campaign, which compares chronic pain to the well-known lamentation and suffering of Fado, so typical of the Portuguese psyche, is also directed at the pharmaceutical community and will be present in over 200 Holon pharmacies, from north to south of the country.

Despite its widespread prevalence, chronic pain continues to be frequently underestimated and ignored.

The campaign is part of the events in the National Pain Day, which this year occurs on 19th October.
