New Year, New Life. And this year start thinking more about yourself! Try to understand which of your resolutions are achievable and realistic and make decisions. Enjoy and follow expert tips and make sure you take projects to the end.

December and January are months that bring us to introspection, thinking about what we want to achieve by the end of the following year. Maria Ferreira, a clinical psychologist at WeCareOn, says that for many people, January, more than a month of change, is a month of “hope”.

Despite the drive for change, it is not always easy to stay focused for a long time. The major obstacles that prevent resolutions from being met are usually associated with difficulties in organising and managing time, lack of assertiveness, fear of consequences, difficulty in deciphering and managing emotions.

REALIST GOALS

Planning new steps is part of the natural motivation of a human being. Ultimately, it is these small stimuli that help us to move on and identify new motivations and life goals. On the other hand, new plans help close cycles and phases, moving forward after assessing the losses and gains for the twelve months to come.

One thing is clear: Promoting change is not easy. According to a study by the University of Scranton, in the United States, only 8% of people can be objective and achieve their goals. Therefore, whatever the resolutions for the new year, there is one thing you cannot do without: Motivation!
