Holon pharmacies in Covilhã and Fundão call for colorectal cancer screening

Pharmacies Holon and Europacolon Portugal are promoting the "DON'T GET LOST! THE ONLY WAY FOR THE PREVENTION OF COLORECTAL CANCER IS EARLY DIAGNOSIS" already in the month of May.

 

Farmácia Diamantino, Farmácia Holon Covilhã and Farmácia Pedroso promote free colorectal cancer screening through the faecal occult blood test, with the support of UNILABS, for all people between the ages of 50 and 74.

 

Anyone over 50 years of age can do this screening based on the following criteria:

- Age between 50 and 74 years;

- Did not perform PSOF in the last year or colonoscopy in the last 5 years;

- No relevant symptoms;

- No first-degree hereditary links to colorectal cancer patients;

- No previous personal history of cancer;

- No prior diagnosis of colorectal polyps or inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
