Farmácia Luciano e Matos promoted Workshop about "Food in the Prevention of Colorectal Cancer"

 

On the 9^th May, Farmácia Luciano e Matos promoted a meeting with the local community on the importance of food in the prevention of bowel cancer. In Portugal, more than 7,000 new cases are diagnosed each year!

 

We know there are foods and ways to process them that can affect how the bowel works. For example, a diet rich in animal fats, processed meats and low intake of fibre, fresh fruits and vegetables can boost the development of colorectal cancer," explains Rosa Cunha, pharmacist at Farmácia Luciano e Matos.
